About

About

Hi, my name is Jurre van der Veen, an ethical hacker based in the Netherlands,
I am currently focussing on expanding my hacking skillset through e-learning, certifications and education.
There always has been a big interest and easy way around quite frankly, anything tech.
Driven by a curious, adaptive and problem solving mindset,
i taught myself alot by creating my own projects, some of which you can find here, updated as i work on them.

This website will function as my portfolio and a way to compliment my resume.

Experience

Coming from a strong retail management background but having a passion in tech and IT,
i have chosen and used 2025/2026 to switch careers into (offensive) cybersecurity to become a penetration tester.
As of April 29th i have succesfully finished my education, looking out towards new challenges.

🏆 Achievements

  • 🎯 Top Vulnerability Hunter
Won a cashprize for Most Vulnerabilities Reported at TEST.FRL,
a real-world Red Team exercise hosted by the municipality of De Fryske Marren.

The event was aimed at reinforcing the overall security posture of the municipality and as a learning exercise for students.

This experience solidified my ability to think like an attacker and report and communicate findings in a professional manner.

  • 🎯 3rd & 1st Prize for Most Impactful Hack
I attended HACK.FRL, the larger follow-up event to TEST.FRL in the same concept.
The event hosted at NHL-Leeuwarden was oriented towards hacking parts of company objects/devices and web domains owned by participating Frisian municipalities, regional water authorities among others.

It gave a large group of students the chance to test our knowledge and find vulnerabilities, work within a scope aswell as correctly reporting findings.
Doing so with a competetive edge…!
There were multiple prizes to win in categories like “Most Creative Hack”, “Best Documented Hack” and “Most Impactful Hack”.

Together with a classmate we tried our best and were able to discover and report multiple vulnerabilities.
Doing so landed us a shared 3rd & 1st place in the category of “Most Impactful Hack”!🏆

Here i won a Flipper Zero with a case and WiFi Dev-Board!
Not only this, all winners across all categories were invited to visit the Cyber-Security Centre of the Dutch Defense Department.

The event gave a great opportunity to meet and share knowledge with likeminded hackers.
